Johnny B & The Road Dog's Band is an American music experience, performing NEW Country, Rock, & R&B. This band has played everything from the hottest clubs to stadiums opening for A list Rock & country acts for 24 years. Nevada is home base, however the band loves to travel and has played in most states and abroad as well. Johnny has many entertainment friends from A list actors to musicians and they stop in from time to time and sometimes sit in with the band.

John's musical roots come from his family. John’s mom & dad were gospel performers and songwriters, raised in Butcher Holler, KY.  Also some of Johns other family members are literally in the Country Music and Rock hall of fame.

John was born and raised in Chicago (Logan Square), IL.

However, John’s Blues roots came from bussing tables in South Bend, where he would fetch drinks for the likes of The Chi Lites, Jr Walker, Buddy & Phil Guy, Daryl Buchanan & Easy Ed & The Funkmisters & more…, They liked Johnny and took him under the wing with rhythm & Blues music.

 

John was Inspired to launch this band bearing his name with Tom Keefaber Sr (bassist of The Jokers with Dickie Betts before Dickie was ever with the Allman brothers band). Tom Sr said to John, “God gave you a special talent of connecting with people through music”, honoring that gift. This band was meant to be, it's your purpose in life. 

Therefore, with help from Tom Keefaber Sr on bass & vocals, Tom Keefaber Jr on lead guitar & vocals, and Gary Keefaber on Drums and vocals & Johnny B on Lead vocals, the band was locked and loaded for launch!

 

Since those early days the band has made changes in the lineup and some of the greatest musicians in America have been a part of The Road Dogs band. Come see us live, as we celebrate 25yrs performing in 2023.
